As an undergraduate biology student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in France, I had the opportunity to take courses in virology and neurobiology. In my last year, I did an internship in virology under the direction of Dr. Marlene Dreux. I specifically studied the cell's different signaling pathways that Dengue virus activates when it infects cells. I had the opportunity to continue studying neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, in my Master’s courses. My interest in this disease has been increased, which is what brought me to the Thinakaran’s Lab. My project here is to study the role of the protein BIN1 in Alzheimer's disease.
